Nessie over at The Biblio Files has a demanding challenge set up for the summer. Read a series of 7 books ... not just any 7 books, but one of the following:
1. In Search of Lost Time, by Marcel Proust (7 volumes)
2. Malazan Book of the Fallen series, by Steven Erickson (7 volumes)
3. The Complete Novels of the Bronte Sisters (7 volumes)
She's allowing some variation - with email approval by her - but participants must read a series of seven volumes no matter what!
There will be gift certificates to an online bookstore for those who complete the challege. (And possibly other goodies such as books, book marks, etc.).
BUT, there is a catch. Those who do not complete the challenge will be REQUIRED to make a donation of a book or money to Brainwash Books, an organization which provides cheap books for University students.
