The Pulitzer 2s Challenge

January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012

I’m continuing with the Pulitzer fiction winners for the years ending in 2.
Challenge rules: The challenge runs from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012. The goal is simply to have all the Pulitzer fiction winners for the years ending in 2 read by the end of the year. So if you’ve already read a couple of the books before the challenge begins, fret not: you don’t have to re-read them (unless you want to, of course). Fiction not your thing? Feel free to read all the general nonfiction, history, or auto/biography winners for the years ending in 2. Audiobooks, ebooks, and overlaps with other challenges are accepted.

The titles for this challenge are:
2012 – TBA
2002 – Empire Falls by Richard Russo
1992 – A Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley
1982 – Rabbit is Rich by John Updike
1972 – Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner
1962 – The Edge of Sadness by Edwin O’Connor
1952 – The Caine Mutiny by Herman Wouk
1942 – In This Our Life by Ellen Glasgow
1932 – The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck
1922 – Alice Adams by Booth Tarkington
(BTW: Alice Adams is available as a free ebook download through Project Gutenberg,Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.)

And that’s it! Rather than creating a dedicated site to the challenge, this year I’m hosting it here on my blog. To get you started on your inaugural post, I pose these questions:
