Welcome:
War and Peace is exactly 365 chapters long, so I (and several others) planned to read it one chapter a day, beginning January 1, 2011, and post six discussions throughout the year.
However, some of us fell behind, so we decided to extend the event through June 2012!
New readers just beginning War & Peace, as well as former readalongers are welcome to join us for this extension! We post an update on our reading once every two months (or really whenever we please, meaning never, or even every week, as Kaye did fearlessly throughout 2011.)
You can join this readalong at any time, and add your link to a certain discussion whenever you get there. That way, we can all read at whatever pace works for us individually, without feeling slowed-down or hurried.
The readalong will last from January 1, 2011 – June 30, 2012.
(No one is required to visit other members of the group, and it’s very unlikely that I’ll be visiting many. Time is my enemy. I’m doing this ONLY to provide a central place to collect discussion links, for any who are interested.)
