2015 What Would Jane Do Reading Challenge

January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015

I am a huge fan of Jane Austen’s books, the movie remakes and several spin offs inspired by them. This challenge is one that is perfect for all of the lovers of Jane Austen’s literature or people who want to be. I’ve been reading Austen for a long time and truly love her work, but I have not read them in a while.

This challenge will run from January 1st-December 31st 2015.

Sign-up is from now until Sept. 30th, 2015

The books you read can count for other challenges. E-books and audio books count in addition to regular ones.

Just Austen- Books only Written by Jane Austen herself

Levels:

A Touch of Pride: Read 1-3 books

Learning Sense: Read 4+ books

Jane Austen and Beyond- Books written by Jane and books that include variation of one of her works, sequels and/or books that use her as a fictional character.

Levels:

Expanding Emmagination: Read 1-3 books by Jane Austen and 1-3 books that fall into one or all of the other categories.

Jane’s Persuasion: Read 4+ books by Jane Austen and 4+ books from the other categories

There are two final levels of dedication that go above and beyond all the other ones. The books can be either hers or a variation, sequel and/or books that use her as a fictional character, in this one I will also accept non-fiction books about Jane Austen as well. The movies are ones based off of her books or that use her books as a key element (Pride and Prejudice or Jane Austen Book Club for example)

Levels:

Jane’s Wisdom: Read 3-5 books and watch 3-5 movies

What Would Jane Do Official Challenge: Read 8+ books and watch 8+ movies.

I am going for Jane’s Wisdom, but if I can I would love to achieve What Would Jane Do Official Challenge level. I am really excited about this challenge and going back through these books. I may even post a review or two of looking through the books with fresh eyes.

This reading challenge is hosted by Writing Our Fairy Tale. For more information and to sign-up, please see this post.
